Bloodstone Inlay Pendant

Time capsules to lands far, far, away. Wabi inlay pendants are crafted from unearthed stone that was once nothing more than elemental decay. Designed to honor stories of the past imprinted into our land, each pendant frames a unique cut of stone offering clues of its origin and life beyond. 

Bloodstone, a member of the quartz family, is formed over thousands of years from silica deposits in the earths cracks. Various combinations of earths minerals give the stone its deep green coloring and "paint splatter" inclusions.

Widely known as the protector stone, bloodstone has been worn for centuries as protection from evil. In ancient times, it was used by warriors to stop blood flow on the battlefield and is even said to have been worn by Roman athletes to boost endurance.

This particular cut has striking red, yellow, and purple inclusions. A beautiful, one-of-a-kind relic to ground and to protect. 

All stones are carefully selected and carved in-studio, then set in a contemporary frame-like inlay pendant which hangs on a Sterling Silver 925 (18 inch) Italian curb chain.
