Bloodstone, a member of the quartz family, is formed over thousands of years from silica deposits in the earths cracks. Various combinations of earths minerals give the stone its deep green coloring and "paint splatter" inclusions.

Widely known as the protector stone, bloodstone has been worn for centuries as protection from evil. In ancient times, it was used by warriors to stop blood flow on the battlefield and is even said to have been worn by Roman athletes to boost endurance.

This particular piece features a dark green stone with red "splatter" inclusions. The narrow signet features a slimmer profile, making it a wonderful everyday pinky ring.
