Lavender Moss Agate

Moss agate is a variety of chalcedony, a mineral that belongs to the quartz family. It is formed through silica precipitation, in which silica-rich fluids fill voids and cracks in rocks and solidify into a mineral. In the case of moss agate, the silica-rich fluids contain iron and other minerals that give the stone its characteristic color and moss-like patterns.

All stones are carefully selected and carved in-studio. This pendant features a beautifully dimensional moss agate with a translucent affect. It is set in a contemporary frame-like inlay pendant hanging on a Sterling Silver 925 (20 inch) Italian curb chain.
